Okowa Attributes High Rate of Unemployment to Inadequate Skills

Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, has attributed the high level of unemployment in Nigeria to the inability of institutions of higher learning in the country to position their products to be self-reliant rather than looking for government jobs.
Okowa who frowned at the high number of graduates who are looking for government jobs, spoke on Wednesday when the management team of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba led by its provost, Dr Ignatius Ezoem, paid him a courtesy call at the government house, Asaba.
According to the governor, unless urgent steps are taken to reverse the trend where graduates of Nigerian universities will rely solely on government jobs to make ends meet, Nigeria will continue to witness high level of unemployment.
He disclosed that his administration has kick-started the process of making Nigerian graduates self-employed by encouraging vocational skill acquisition.
“One of the cardinal programmes of this administration is to ensure that we are able to raise up our children to embrace technical and vocational education that will enable them acquire skills,” he noted.
The governor regretted that the curriculum in the various institutions have been such that most persons that come out of the universities and institutions of higher learning depend on government jobs.
“There is no doubt that spaces for government jobs are getting full and therefore the unemployment rate is high in the country,” he said.
The governor added, “we have kick-started programmes as a government to train our children to acquire skills both agriculturally and entrepreneurially, we will be putting them into situations where they are not just seeking for jobs but they are able to create jobs on their own and able to sustain their various families.”
He expressed the readiness of his administration to partner with agencies that are committed to creating jobs and making the youths to be self-employed, adding that his administration would be glad to partner with the school in this regards.
Earlier, Ezoem congratulated Okowa on his electoral victory and pledged the support of his college for the state government’s youth empowerment and wealth creation programmes.

Causes and Cure For Cancer

Cancer occurs when there is an undesirable change in the nucleus of the cells of the body, specifically in the DNA. This results in accelerated cell growth---uncontrollable, inappropriate cell growth. Diet such as sugar, white flour, meats and processed foods, is one of the greatest culprits in causing cancer. The consumers of these kinds of food are likely to one day find themselves with cancer. These highly processed foods, refined, dead foods may sit in your colon anywhere from one to four days. As they putrefy they produce toxins that, if not timely and efficiently eliminated, are reabsorbed into the body hindering the rebuilding of healthy cells. Eventually, the cells mutate, causing a cancer or a lump.
Cancer though is not caused by any one thing; it is generally the result of a combination of internal toxins, external toxins, malnutrition, stressful living, and many other contributors. In the same way, nutrition alone is not enough to overcome cancer, and neither is exercise, nor pure water, nor any other single change. By addressing each of these areas, we provide the best environment for healing to take place—just as God had really intended back in the garden. And that is where healing begins—with God and being obedient to his natural laws.
Now we know what causes cancer, what is the cure or remedy? As shown in the story in my last post when Gerald took a bold decision to switch from therapy to changing his diet. He did not only win the battle against cancer he experienced wholeness all round. The question you may be asking now is what is this diet?
Life from Life
God designed a simple but yet brilliant way to pass along life-giving energy from one living thing to another in the form of living foods. We  learnt to cook and otherwise kill most of our food. Think about putting your hand into boiling water for a few moments. Pretty destructive, don’t you think? Now imagine food that is baked or boiled or barbecued.
What are living foods? Living still contain their life force, which is indicated by the presence of active enzymes. This experiment will show the difference between living food and dead foods. Take five raw carrots. Cut the top of the first carrot, and place it in a shallow of basin water to watch it grow. Take  the remaining carrots and cook them-boil one, steam another, bake one, and microwave he last. Take each one out of their heat sources, cut of their tops, and put each in a shallow of basin water to watch them grow. Will the four cooked carrots grow? No, they won’t-because they’re dead; their enzymes have been destroyed.
Living foods spells out the basic foundation of this diet. It is primarily a raw food diet in which people eat as many foods as possible in their natural, uncooked condition. Changing your diet or part of your diet will not only prevent cancer and and other diseases but will also cure them.
Later, we’ll learn more about living and dead foods, fruits and vegetables and other essential to this wonderful diet and lifestyle.

Cancer

Cancer.  The very word strikes fear into the hearts of many. They find themselves secretly wondering , will I get it? And if you are a take action kind of person, you may find yourself thinking, Is there anything I can do to keep from getting it?
Well, My friends, the good news is a Yes, you can keep from getting Cancer. Testimonies from many people prove there is absolutely something you can do to lower your odds of getting this dreaded disease.
Diet is suspected to be a big part of the cause. What seems to be going on is that the fatty foods-meats, diary products, fried foods—tend to cause the hormones in a woman’s or man’s body to increase. I’m speaking about estrogen in women and testosterone in men—they increase when we have fattier diets, and, in turn, those hormonal surges can trigger the onset of cancer or make cancer more likely to occur. I’ve learnt to weigh the council I get from science

The 11 Worst Diets Out There

Every once in a while, a new diet fad crops up that you MUST try, but in actuality these trends rarely work. In fact, most diet crazes are truly detrimental to your health. Luckily, our friends at YourTango have compiled a list of the worst ones so you can avoid them.
There's a price to pay for beauty (and a slim waist) and you'll definitely pay it with these "WTF" diet trends.
It seems that fitness is more "in" than it was when Olivia Newton John had it trending in the 80's, demanding that we all get physical. (Wait, maybe we're talking a different kind of physical ... eh, oh well, it all works the same.)
